Longing for summer days

I’m sad a lot this week, and I bought some new copic markers to cheer myself up. I selected these colours to complement the ones I already got.

Got myself some new colours yesterday. They should be a nice addition to the ones I already had.

I used them to make a page in my sketchbook about longing for those lovely warm days when I don’t have to do or think about anything but lie in the park enjoying the sun. I am just so done with the coldness and the snow.
I’ll scan it properly later, here’s a quick picture.

A page in my Moleskine sketchbook made with my new (and old) copic markers.

I’m still getting the hang of using copic markers in all the ways they can be used. When I see all the beautiful things other people can accomplish with them I know there is so much more potential that I have yet to unlock.

Storms and metallic colours

Two pages from my sketchbook! My new scanner has a warmer tone that captures the base colour of my Moleskine Sketchbook better than my old scanner did. The top page is the first time that I used the new watercolour pencils that I got in the Nerdfighter Secret Santa exchange, among them metallic ones.

Copperhead

Storm

The second page I made from an art journal prompt to make something inspired by your favorite song. I have many favorite songs, and one of them is The Lightning Strikes by Snow Patrol. I’m not super happy with the results of this page (the girls facial expression does not match what I had in mind) but overall I like it.

Sunshine makes me happy

I have been waiting for spring weather. I want to wear cute dresses and cool sunglasses and not be cold but warmed by the sun. So when the view on this day, the official start of spring, is so sunny I am a happy, happy girl.

Phoneography

Because the weekly photo challenges on WordPress are all about photos taken with your phone (phoneography) and I got a new smartphone with a good camera in it not to long ago I figured that I’d try out sharing from instagram directly to my blog, all from my phone while on the go.
